Completing your Shopping
Once you have chosen a supermarket to start shopping from, you can get on with your shopping. Just click the Start button on
the home page to begin selecting items from the shelves of mySupermarket.
You can see all of mySupermarket's departments across the top of the screen, from Bakery & Patisserie to Baby, Health & Beauty.
Clicking on a department reveals the shelves in that department. For example, in the Frozen department you can choose
from Ice Cream, Frozen Desserts & Fruit, Frozen Meat and so on.
Click on a shelf name to view all products on that shelf.

Each product consists of a large, clear image with further information about the product beneath. This includes:
- The full name of the product
- The weight or volume
- The price
- Special offers, highlighted in red
- The Price per unit (PPU)
For food and drink products you will see the number of calories and the overall traffic light rating above each product. By clicking on the traffic light or calorie count, it will open giving you more details. You can click on the traffic light of as many products on the page so that you can see at a glance which product is healthier. Some products are not yet labeled.

Note: All the products belonging to a shelf can be seen by scrolling down a single page.
- Click on a shelf to view the items.
- Arrange the products on the shelf by selecting from the Group by options.

You can group the shelves by Brand A-Z, Type or Leading Brand.
Group by lets you order the shelf in a way that makes sense to you. In the ice cream example used above, you
might want to group by Brand A-Z: i.e. all of the Ben & Jerry's ice cream followed by all of the Haagen Dazs ice cream,
or you could group by Type, such as ice cream tubs, bars and cakes.
You can also group any shelf by Leading Brand, which orders the brand in order of popularity. For example, Coca Cola
would be displayed first on the Soft Drinks shelf.
Some shelves can be grouped in special ways for that particular shelf. For example you can arrange the Yogurts
shelf according to low fat or bio yogurts, or you could arrange the Red Wine shelf according to country of origin.
mySupermarket lets you compare the price of every item individually in the four supermarkets.

- Click on any image or product name to view more information about the item including:
- A larger, more detailed photograph of the item
- Additional information about the duration of special offers
- A table comparing the price of the item in all the supermarkets where it is sold.
- Full traffic light data
- Nutritional information
- Ingredients
- Allergy information
- A short product description
- Click Close to return to shopping.
- Click on the Add button found beneath the product to add the item to your trolley. The quantity and price
appear over the product's image.
- Click [+] to add additional units to your trolley.
- Click [-] to remove units one by one.

Click - to remove an item. Continue to click - until no items remain.
Note: If you would like to remove all the items in your trolley, go to View Trolley and click Empty Trolley.
If you have trouble finding specific products, you can use our Find feature. We arrange all possible matches according to shelf.
As you shop and add items to your trolley, the total cost of your trolley is compared in the
four supermarkets, as shown at the top of every page.
What is included in the total cost of my trolley?

The comparison table adjusts with each item that you add or remove from your trolley.
We show you at a glance how much your trolley costs and how much a trolley containing comparable items would cost at
any of the competing supermarkets.
The supermarkets are ordered according to the total cost of the trolley at any particular time from the cheapest to the
most expensive, and the supermarket that you are shopping from is highlighted. In the example above, you are shopping
with Sainsbury's.
You can also see how much you will be able to save in the Price Checker and Health Checker
by swapping some of your chosen items. This is shown alongside the comparison chart. The more you buy,
the more saving suggestions we'll help you uncover. Once you've finished filling your trolley,
click on 'Checkout' to view the Trolley Checker.
View your trolley at any time by clicking View Trolley at the top of every page.
You can adjust the amount of items you bought just as you would shop from any shelf in mySupermarket by clicking
the [+] or [-] buttons on each product.
Note: The number of items in your trolley is also indicated at all times.
Once you have finished shopping, click Checkout.
