  • Mild & light with the goodness of red palm fruit Use a third less than other oils! Vitamin rich & 100% natural cooking oil Carotino is a delicious, natural, multi-purpose oil which is ideal for cooking, baking, frying, roasting and salads. It is made from a unique blend of red palm oil and rapeseed oil, derived from the vitamin-packed fruit of the palm tree and should not be confused with palm kernel oil. Carotino is naturally high in anti-oxidant pro-Vitamin A (alpha and beta carotenes) and Vitamin E, as well as being a good natural source of the essential fatty acids Omega 3 and Omega 6, as well as Lycopene and Co-enzyme Q10. It contains no genetically modified (GM) ingredients, artificial colours, preservatives or additives and is free from harmful trans fat which can raise 'bad' cholesterol levels. Carotino is high in healthy mono-unsaturates, which help raise 'good' (HDL) cholesterol levels in the blood stream. Just one tablespoon of Carotino when used in your daily cooking can make a substantial contribution towards the Recommended Daily Allowance (RDA) of nutrients like Vitamin A and Vitamin E. Carotino's rich consistency means you can use a third less than other oils, for perfect results every time.

This is very cheap compared to the raw, virgin coconut oil. Coconut oil is resistant to heat and so the refined stuff, like KTC survives processing well. As a cheap alternative to the posh stuff this works, I was concerned that it may be hydrogenated the processing.

I dug around and did a lot of investigating and got the answer, but not from KTC who ignored my email. <a href="c</a>
