It has a malty smell with a delicate spicy hop and orange aroma. It goes extraordinarily well with cheeses, flapjacks and cookies. Country crafted and full of character. Legend suggests that this ale is named after the inquisitive local ferrets who frequented the Gribble Inn back door to sample its own reputed brew. Serve chilled.

On rising to go, he experienced a sudden loss of steering and so unwittingly fell upon a name for this legendary ale. Tanglefoot is ideal for steak and ale pies.
