  • Famous Grouse blended Scotch whisky is matured for a long time in seasoned oak casks and bottled in Scotland. Matthew Gloag and Son established this Famous Grouse whisky in Perth Scotland in 1896. Their secret to this incredibly smooth whisky is the way they match and blend the fine rare Scotch whiskies that they use. For this whisky they have matched and blended Macallan and Highland Park fine malt whiskies with grain whiskies. The blend has notes of oak, sherry and citrus combined with a fruity and mature medium dry finish.

The Famous Grouse is named after the Red Grouse, Scotland's national game bird. Originally, it was called ‘Grouse brand’ but it became so popular that in 1906, they decided to add ‘Famous’ to its title. By 1980 it was a brand leader in Scottish whisky and was awarded a Royal warrant. To this day, the Famous Grouse is still one of Scotland's favourite whiskies.

  • The Black Grouse Scotch whisky showcases a distinctly darker side to The Famous Grouse family. A deep and mellow drop with smoky overtones, The Black Grouse balances reassuring smoothness with aromatic, peaty flavours. This is partly due to the blend of peated malt whiskies as the Black Grouse is a carefully brokered marriage between The Famous Grouse and Islay malt whiskies. At first the taste is light and aromatic in its smokiness but then you get to the silky smooth note of the Famous Grouse, leaving you hints of cocoa and spice and a long smoky aromatic finish.

The Black Grouse Scotch Whisky is named after the Black Grouse who is a relative of the Red Grouse game bird. This bird is an endangered bird and buy buying this whisky you are helping maintain Black Grouse conservation work across Scotland, Northern England and Wales. So far 85,000 acres of native habitat have been improved and there are signs that the black grouse population is responding positively! Conservation takes time and commitment, so does making distinctively smooth, and smoky whisky. Enjoy The Black Grouse Scotch Whisky and help save its namesake.

  • The Famous Grouse company has been blending whisky for more than 100 years and that’s where the inspiration for this whisky came from. They have expertly used hard to find and pricy sun dried sherry oak casks to mature a blend of Famous Grouse whisky. As a result, the Naked Grouse whisky tastes sherry sweet, rich and smooth with hints of dried fruits, cinnamon and spice and a lingering finish of black cherries and dark chocolate.

The Naked Grouse is a blended scotch whisky is also well known for its interesting apothecary style bottle with cork top and its insistence on not declaring its age. Whisky drinkers have a perception that the quality increases with the age so The Famous Grouse are challenging this by not declaring the age of this blended whisky. They claim the blend is as high quality as old aged whisky and even single malt whiskies. It’s been nominated for the World Whiskies award 212 so it must be doing something right!

William Teacher first started selling blended Scotch in 1830. To ensure the authenticity of his whisky, he sold it through his infamous Glasgow dram shops. Throughout the decades, Teacher’s has continued to be a highly consistent and popular brand around the world.
1830 William Teacher Senior takes advantage of The Excise Act to start selling whisky blended from carefully selected distilleries at his wife’s grocery shop. 1856 William Teacher Senior, aged 45, is awarded a license to sell whisky for consumption on the premises of 450 Argyle Street, creating the first Teacher’s Dram Shop. 1863 The Teacher’s blend is marketed under the Highland Cream name for the first time. 1887 Teacher’s creates Australian Bonded Whisky - using their barrels of whisky as ballast on ships travelling to and from Australia, guaranteeing the whisky many months of maturation in oak, without the need to find expensive storage space. 1899 Teacher’s builds its own distillery in Aberdeenshire to give it more control over the quality of its end product. Named “Ardmore”, it produces an intensely peaty malt whisky that gives the Teacher’s Blend a more distinctive taste. 1913 Teacher’s patent “The Self-Opening Bottle”. This innovation - essentially a tapered cork with a rim - launches a massive advertising campaign and gives Teacher’s a 15-year lead over rivals. 1926 Perfected filtering process by pre-cooling. 1933 Teacher’s takes advantage of the beginning of the end of Prohibition by appointing an agent in New York and shipping its first US consignment on the Cunard steamer “Scythia”. 1957 Teacher’s buys the “Glendronach” distillery in Banffshire to meet the increase in demand for whisky following the end of rationing. 2006 Teacher’s celebrates its 175th birthday with a bottle re-design in the UK and the printing of the “A Teacher’s Tale” book. 2010 Teacher’s packaging evolution continues as new bottle is launched.

  • The ancient paths of countless buffalo led America westward. Legendary explorers, pioneers, and settlers alike followed these trails, known as traces, through rugged wildernesses to new lands, new adventures, and new-found freedom. One such trace, called the Great Buffalo Trace, crossed the Kentucky River at a spot just north of present-day Frankfort. Early pioneers settled here in 1775 and, with plentiful pure limestone water and rich river bottom loam for growing exceptional grains, distillation quickly followed. With an unparalleled reputation for creating outstanding bourbon whiskey, the Buffalo Trace Distillery today stands as one of America's oldest distilling sites. The bold heritage of the mighty buffalo and the individuality and pioneering spirit of those early Americans are again found in Buffalo Trace Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey - the very finest bourbon created at the Buffalo Trace Distillery. Traditionally handcrafted, Buffalo Trace has a smooth, confident taste that invites discovery with every sip. Explore Buffalo Trace and taste the spirit of legends.
In Kentucky, buffalo carved a pathway that was followed by America's first pioneers and explorers. on the spot where their migration route crossed the Kentucky River, we're been making legendary bourbon whiskey for over 200 years. In tribute to the mighty buffalo and the rugged, independent spirit of the pioneers who followed them westward, we created Buffalo Trace Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey. Carefully distilled by our latest generation of craftsmen, Buffalo Trace is rich, complex and smooth in taste - but we think you'll enjoy it because it's just damn good whiskey. THE HEART OF J&B RARE. The fruity smoothness and elegant structure of J&B Rare are formed from the finest Speyside malt whiskies at the heart of the blend. After blending, many Scotch whiskies are returned to oak casks for a month of "marriage". To enhance J&B Rare's elegance of flavour, we take the selected malts from their casks, then "marry" them together in oak for a full year's maturation. This unique process creates a harmonious whisky and gives a distinctive smoothness and elegant balance at the very heart of J&B Rare.

  • Kentucky straight Bourbon whiskey
Life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness-the cornerstones of the birth of a nation, epitomized by the American bald eagle. That nation has come to represent the freedom, spirit and independence of the individual, giving the world products and innovations that are uniquely its own. One such innovation was Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey. Early Kentucky settlers created Bourbon, the true American spirit, in the late 1700s. By practice, and protected by law, no other distilled spirit adheres to standards as strict as those established for Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey. And few other whiskeys can offer even a glimpse of the great whiskey making found in Eagle Rare. Eagle Rare 10 Year Old Single Barrel Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey has a sweet, oaky nose and full, complex body. Of course, feel free to drink Eagle Rare in such classic cocktails as the Manhattan or Whiskey Sour.

Knob Creek Named after the childhood home of Abraham Lincoln, Knob Creek is aged for nine years in charred American white oak barrels which give this bourbon its maple sugar aroma, distinctive sweetness and rich full-bodied flavour.
Appearance Copper to medium amber. Nose Toasted nuts, grain and oak. Palate Rich, sweet, woody and full-bodied. Finish Long, rich and glowing.
Knob Creek is part of a small batch of exclusive, premium bourbons created in limited quantities by the sixth generation Jim Beam family distiller, Booker Noe.
History and Heritage Origin/Location The first American whiskey was made in Kentucky more than 200 years ago. Just about every new settler made it, however, in time, only a small handful of master distillers gained the reputation for producing whiskey of exceptional smoothness, balance and quality, in a unique style that came to be known as Kentucky Bourbon. History Jacob Beam sold his first barrel of whiskey back in 1795. Since then, there have been master distillers in every generation of the Beam family. Booker Noe, Jim Beam’s great grandson created the renowned small batch collection of which Knob Creek belongs. Regional Information -
Production Mashing: Corn, rye and barley malt are ground into a fine meal, which is mixed with iron-free limestone spring water to create a mash, then cooked to convert the starches into sugars. Fermenting: After cooking, the mash is pumped into a fermenter. Yeast is added, and in a few days, the sugars are converted to alcohol and carbon dioxide. Distilling: After fermenting, the mash is pumped into a still for distillation. The mash is heated and the vapours are captured and cooled, creating a colourless condensate called “low wine”. A second distillation refines the proof and flavour, producing a “high wine”, also known as “white dog”, which is transferred directly to barrels without filtering or additives. Ageing: The ageing process is where bourbon picks up most of the rich flavour that distinguishes it from other whiskeys. Kentucky Straight Bourbon must be aged in new oak barrels for a minimum of two years. Knob Creek is aged for nine years. This allows it to absorb more of the sugar in the wood, giving a sweeter taste and nose.
Hand-bottled in limited quantity for superior taste & smoothness.
