  • Bollinger Special Cuvée Champagne is a non-vintage champagne made form a combination of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes. Sparkling and dry, it’s a blended combination of 60% Pinot Noir, 25% Chardonnay, 15% Meunier, using over 85% Grands and Premiers Crus. Special Cuvee is Bollinger’s classic signature drink and one of the most well-known non –vintage champagnes and has bceom known to symbolise the company’s history and expertise. In some places it’s even been given the affectionate nickname of ‘Bolly’.

    The House of Bollinger was founded in 1829 by 3 partners and is still run but the Bollinger family today, one of the few remaining independent champagne houses! Oak barrels are used during fermentation, which helps the cellar aging process and the company still insist on using traditional yeast as they feel newer versions do not help produce more satisfactory champagne than they already produce.

The production facility for Heidsieck Monopole is at Tours sur Marne in the village of Bouzy.
    History: Established in 1785 - one of the oldest Champagne producers. Purchased by Vranken Pommery Monopole (VPM) in 1975 from Seagram. VPM is the second largest producer of Champagne, owning the Houses of Pommery, Demoiselle and Charles Lafitte 1834. A 'Grand Marque' champagne - one of the top names in Champagne. A totally separate company from the Piper Heidsieck and Charles Heidsieck Champagne houses. Strong branding and instantly recognisable blue and yellow livery of the 'Blue Top' ensures strong presence and brand identity.
