  • ABV: 12.5.
Units per 125ml: 1.6. Bold, ripe aromas of fresh cut grass and passion fruit. A dry, fresh, fruit-driven wine with intense flavours.
Montana wines are considered the benchmark of New Zealand varietal winemaking and have an international reputation for quality and consistency. The wines are crafted in a style that epitomises the unique character and flavour of the growing region. As the original pioneers of this region, Montana's understanding of Marlborough and the variety is unparalleled. They have unrivalled experience in harnessing the potential of its three main subregions. Most of the grapes were crushed and left in contact with the skins for a few hours to provide strength and fullness of flavour. The juice was then fermented at cool temperatures to retain the very distinctive regional and varietal characters.

  • 11.5% vol. The drinks business MAGAZINE GREEN LIST. #1 WINERY MINIMIZING ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT.
Back in 1962, having just finished my winemaking studies, I was keen to offer the family some new knowledge. So, in a small winery in the mountains of the Penedès, we fermented parellada grapes at low temperature for the first time to obtain a fresher, more aromatic wine: this was how the first "Viña Sol" came into being. TASTING NOTES: Fruit aromas with hints of apple and pineapple. Smooth, balanced palate with a fine acidic edge.

  • Passion fruit, ripe lemon and tropical fruit, lively and finely textured, beset with lingering citrus notes.
Zesty and aromatic, with lots of lively fruit characters. A concentration of assertive passion fruit and tropical fruit flavours with an abundant bouquet. It is a wine that is always crisp, elegant and refreshing.
Oyster Bay is New Zealand's third largest wine maker and defines the stature and style of New Zealand wines. It produces elegant, assertive, Super-Premium wines, with glorious fruit flavours from the renowned regions of Marlborough and Hawke's Bay. Marlborough is New Zealand's largest and most renowned wine growing region, characterised by a temperate, maritime climate, producing intense, aromatic wines with trademark acidity. A long, slow, temperature controlled fermentation, and immediate bottling after winemaking, retains all the wonderful fruit flavours and aromas that are present. Oyster Bay Sauvignon Blanc shows the classic character of a Marlborough Sauvignon. "This 2007 Sauvignon Blanc is a perfect example, cut from textbook cloth. It is a wine that keeps you coming back for another sip" - Wine of the week, winepages.com, U.K. January 2008.

Sauternes Château Suduiraut - White French Wine
The Waitrose Sauternes is produced from selected parcels of Sémillon and Sauvignon Blanc grapes, from the vineyard of Château Suduiraut, 1st Classified Growth. Most of the vines are pretty young, around 30 years on average, therefore the wine delivers a relatively fresh style of Sauternes. The use of oak is carefully limited (16 months of cask ageing, 10% new casks, 20% 1-wine and 70% 2-wines old casks) in order to enhance the fruit character of the wine and add an extra touch of complexity.
The Waitrose Sauternes is made from selected parcels of Sémillon and Sauvignon Blanc from the vineyard of chateau Suduiraut, one of the greatest vineyards of Sauternes, classified 1st Growth. This wine benefits from the same know-how and from the same team who produces the wine 'Château Suduiraut' itself. It enjoys the same care at harvesting (several sortings, potential degree above 20%), and the same attention during fermentation and ageing as for the 'grand vin'. It is rich and sensual and delivers a complex nose of jammed fruit and spice, ideal for drinking now and over the next 5 years. It is considered as a great example of the Sauternes appellation.

Chardonnay 100%. The grapes are hand and mechanically harvested, then pressed in a pneumatic press. Mâcon-Lugny Eugène Blanc is exclusively produced on the 163 Ha of vineyard located in the village of Lugny. This appellation is almost a monopoly of the Cave with our producers cultivating 99% of its surface. An important management of the quality is therefore possible for all the bottles labelled under this appellation. The vineyard is set around a plateau and South-South East oriented slopes of chalky soil. The average vine age is around 35 years. The alcoholic fermentation is carried out in temperature controlled stainless steel vats (constant temperature of 16 to 18°C). The malolactic fermentation is completed at 100%. The wine is matured with its lees in stainless steel vats during 6 months then bottled in traditional Burgundy bottles. This wine is produced by Cave de Lugny from Chardonnay grapes grown in the village of Cave de Lugny, which is located in the Mâconnais region of southern Burgundy.
Cave de Lugny’s winemaker, Grégoire Pissot, is dedicated to producing the very best wines that this region has to offer, using a combination of traditional and modern wine making techniques, and the result is a wine that is very elegant, crisp and smooth, with citrus & pear flavours, and a nice minerality.
This wine makes the perfect aperitif, but is also a superb accompaniment to poultry, seafood and salads.

Arnaud de Lassalle - White French Wine
Benedictine monks first planted vines at Pouilly-sur-Loire on slopes overlooking the upper reaches of the Loire river. Today, there are over 1,200 hectares of vineyards. Pouilly Fumé is exclusively made from the Sauvignon Blanc grape and, on this region's particular soils, it produces crisp, dry, elegant whites with aromatic grassy notes and a smoky, mineral character. The special microclimate of Pouilly helps the grapes to retain a beautiful freshness when fully mature and gives Pouilly-Fumé its crisp, pure style.
Tasting note - Delicate aromas of freshly cut grass and blackcurrant leaf follow through to a crisp, dry and fresh palate, with green apple and gooseberry notes. Long mineral finish.

Bush Vines Chenin Blanc - White South African Wine
With it's various slopes and soil types, Kleine Zalze's vineyards provide each grape variety with the best possible and suitable growing conditions, allowing for maximal expression of varietal character. Under the watchful eye of cellar master John Joubert, grapes are only picked once they have reached optimal ripeness. Each batch is vinified separately to ensure that unique flavours and characters are kept intact. Only once the cellar master has identified the full spectrum of components that the harvest has yielded, will he begin to compose the wine. Unique varietal expression is Johan's main focus.
