Fairhills Fairtrade Merlot Shiraz (750ml)

Fairhills Rawsonville, South Africa was set up in 2005 in conjunction with the Du Toitskloof co-operative. It is the largest Fairtrade project in the world, whereby over 1000 people benefit from the premiums generated. Every bottle sold helps to generate funds to be spent by the Joint Body Trust , which runs the project. So far, the premiums have helped to build daycare centres and schools (over 210 children now attend) as well as paying for public transport, a community centre and a craft co-operative. The 11 Fairtrade farms attached to the Du Toitskloof coop are situated in the Breede Valley, one of South Africa's largest wine producing regions set against the backdrop of spectacular mountains.
