Harveys was founded in 1796 in the city of Bristol, England. At that time sherry was transported by ship in oak casks and then blended in Bristol. Harveys Bristol Cream was created in the company’s cellars in the 1880s by John Harvey II and his brother Edward. An aristocratic lady who was visiting the cellars was sampling Harveys Bristol Milk. From 1970 onwards Harveys began investing heavily in the region of Jerez, purchasing top quality vineyards and bodegas and building a bottling plant including the latest technology. All production and distribution of sherry for world markets is now centred in Jerez. Only wine produced in the area of Jerez, southern Spain can be called sherry.

  • PRODUCT OF PORTUGAL. Taylor, Fladgate & Yeatman was founded in 1692. It has remained family owned and run throughout its history, which makes it unique amongst port companies. The family was the first shipper to understand the importance of owning its own vineyards. So, in 1744, they bought an estate at 'Lugar das Lages' outside Regua in what was then the heart of the port wine region. At this property the company continues to make fine traditional ports. First Estate Reserve is still vinified at this old property, it is blended to produce a rich, full young port with an abundance of fruit - a true reflection of the Taylor's style and tradition. 20% vol.

  • Taylor's ports represent a three hundred year old tradition that began with the foundation of Taylor Fladgate & Yeatman in 1692. Three centuries of independent family ownership and experience in producing the finest Ports of all styles ensure that Taylor's Ports continue to be made to the highest standards, combining the best of tradition and innovation. Late Bottled Vintage was developed as an alternative to Vintage Port for more informal occasions. Produced from wines with the rich fruity character of a classic Vintage. However the longer time spent in cask means that it is ready to drink when bottled and needs no decanting. It will remain in good condition for two or three weeks after the bottled is opened.
